This place has been around for a long time, but looked rather run down/scary so I had never stopped there. They've had a recent facelift and now advertise Hunt Brothers Pizza so I stopped in for a bite. The facelift extended to the interior, which is now clean and well lit with attractive product displays.
They only had a couple of breakfast pizzas ready when I went in at 11, but the clerk was very nice and offered to make wings for me while I waited. Took about 10 minutes to go through their little oven. I got a drink during that time--the soda machine was clean and functional. I also looked over the extensive advertisements for Hunt Brothers inside. They seem to aspire to be in competition with Domino's etc. for pizza and related items, but I only saw the one tiny oven so I don't know how they would keep up if it got very popular. But the wings were quite good when I got them home, and 5 for $3.99 so not bad, the lunch was just over $7.The single bathroom didn't get the facelift but it was reasonably clean. A fair amount of that attractive product display is for head shop merchandise and flavored vaping (with free trial) for the kiddos. I have misgivings about boosting a nuisance business, but most convenience stores sell those things so it's hard to be that picky. I did have a nice service experience.
