Stopped in the other
day to try out this taco truck. I ordered an aguapanela, a chicken taco
and a beef fajita taco on corn and flour tortillas. I wanted to have
some elote (corn in a cup) but they didn't have it, which was slightly
disappointing.
The tacos were both very good--the meat was tender
and flavorful, and served with lime to add some zest. The green salsa
was quite tasty. What stands out--the tacos are served very hot! It's
hard to pick them up if you try to eat them right away. They would
travel quite well. The aguapanela was excellent--in case you haven't
had it, it is a drink made with cane sugar and lime juice. It's very
refreshing and a great complement to Tex-Mex food. The whole meal was
only $8.50, so it's a bargain also. But it's cash only, so bring your
bills.
