I stopped into the new Subway at the Kroozin convenience store to see what they were like. It's the first time I've been to a Subway since they started advertising freshly sliced meats. When they say freshly sliced, they don't mean like Jersey Mike's where they slice in front of you. The meat was pre-sliced and displayed attractively in the bins on the counter. They had a slicer on the counter that was quite clean. Better than when it was shipped in sliced and separated with paper.
I had a roast beef sandwich and chips, which were both as good as Subway always is. The chocolate chip cookies were as usual also. Subway is now offering footlong dessert and side items, so I tried a pretzel. It was decent, nice and salty, but the warming process made a few chewy spots. The restaurant was clean and ready. Service was prompt and polite. Can't say anything really stands out, but if you're there and want Subway it's fine.
